Another interesting event within the third game, is a quest line involving two recurring ghost
brothers. Within the first game, set hundreds of years before the third game, the brothers are still
alive and they come to player offering a quest. The player can quest for the "Necrenomono", a book
of great evil, for the brothers. Once the players finally find the book they have a choice to offer
the book to the brothers. If they do, the brothers "accidentally" summon an army of zombies for the
player to defeat. The two brothers come back in the second game as ghosts and offer another quest
for the player. Within the second game references are made to the same "Necrenomonon" and the quest
the player goes on a similar journey with brothers. The third game takes place twenty years after
the end of the second game, with the player being the son of the past players avatar. While the
player travels through a grave yard, a yell for help is heard. The brothers are back once again
for another adventure. The creators not only adhere to overlying story of the current game, they
bring back stories they created from their original game. This started of in a very traditional
manor as all of the brothers quests do but once the Necrnomono was back in their hands, everything
became a little bit crazy. The brothers begin to throw a party with all the near by dead. During
this party, the two brothers begin to fight. One requests the players help to track down the other
brother who stole the book. This lead into a large ghost themed dungeon, with the player battling
waves and waves of ghosts and skeletal warriors. Meanwhile the runway brother taunts the player.
This event in it self is not significant, to what makes this memorable, but the actual place this
occurs in makes it memorable. This entire dungeon tells the story of the brothers threw dialogue,
and the events that occur. The fact that the developers created such a significant story around a
side quest is momental. Quite a percentage of players will never seen any of this material, but the
developers knew that some people would. For that dedication, the game becomes memorable.
