For this intent, I wanted to create some from of exploration using a recording application that tracks a users footsteps. The application is installed on a users phone and at the end of the day, the app shows the user how far they have walked that day. This then enables the exploration side of the application. The user can pick and virtual city within the app and explore it with their recorded steps. Think the user chooses Paris and thus the user can explore Paris for a set distance. It acts as a way to catalog the users life and offer more than what they already have in the everyday.

In an attempt to record my life and other people my age, my intent is a application that records the users activity on the computer. While using the computer, the application runs in the background. It takes random and repeated words from what the computer user is typing and logs it all into text documents. Repeated words will increase in text size. This will act as a form of a blog showing the user everything they have done on the computer. Other people can view a users blog to get a sense of their lives on the computer. To add a interactive element, users can connect through social sites and compare what of their blogs are similar.

Using current voice capturing technology, while watching a movie or listing to music, a user will be able to share on social media sites short clips of the media and their own comments on that piece. For example while watching a movie on a Xbox 360, a user will be able to address their Kinect and have it post to the users social sites the clip with their comments.

We have all been there, when we are trying to access something on UMaine Maine Street but it seems to be working against us. For this project, we would talk to students about what they would want to fix on Maine Street. And then we would implement it for the benefit of every student and staff member at Umaine.
